A Message from the General Manager - Redland Bay Golf Club

Good morning members - Just a quick post about a couple of messages from the Club.
4BBB Score Card EntryThere seems to be some misunderstanding when playing a 4BBB on how to fill in the new score cards. Let me try and clarify it for you if I can.
When entering the players’ names in the timesheet, members should be aware that the players in cell 1 and 2 are partners and players in cell 3 and 4 are partners. If there is only 3 players in the group then the lowest handicapped player in the group is the swinger and should be in cell 1, the other two players should be in cell 3 and 4.
When members register for golf in the pro shop they pick up their respective card. On the golf course members fill in the card as per normal but if your partner holes out then you score a “P” on the card and vice versa. There is no need to putt out as players are playing a 4BBB event. It does not matter if both players share the same score on the hole the system will combine the one score for the result.
Handicapping – players will be handicapped on a 4BBB event as per the rules of handicapping on 4BBB events set by Golf Australia.
If any member has any questions please feel free to see the staff in administration or the guys in the Pro Shop for advice.
New WebsiteThe Club is proud to announce that we have upgraded our website which will be released on Monday 23rd September 2013 at 11am. There is a significant amount of new features which will be released with the website but you will note that the overall feel and presentation will only enhance the presence of the club on the world wide web and beyond. Members will still have their own private section which is currently being used through the existing website but the front layering is all new with great content and information.
In the near future, members will be able to access the website via a smart phone APP and follow the competition results via a Leader board either in the club or remotely – it certainly is an exciting time at Redland Bay Golf Club.
Clubhouse - CarpetI am pleased to advise that new carpet is being installed into the Clubhouse as we speak. It looks fantastic and it is expected to be completed this afternoon in time for our Trivia Night dining. So if you have not seen the new carpet as yet please come on down and experience the carpet under your feet.
 All the best – David.
