From the Managers Desk
The Redland Bay Golf Club performance over the past 12 months has been rewarded not only by receiving the coveted Qld PGA Metropolitan Golf Club of 2010 award and being featured on Qld Weekender on Channel 7, but also by featuring in the ‘Inside Golf’ magazine due to hit the stands early May 2011. This editorial touches on the clubs performance not only in 2010 but also the great response that this club and members offered during the recent floods. These efforts have not gone unnoticed as there the club has received correspondence of congratulations from Golf Clubs, Sporting Clubs, Golf Industry Associations, charities etc not only throughout SEQ but across Australia.
The club has a new promotion commencing on Monday, 18 April 2011. This promotion has the following prizes:

Full ‘Terms & Conditions’ of this promotion are displayed on the notice boards and with the promotional display.
I would also like to announce a new concept that has been organized between RBGC, Nudgee Golf Club, Wynnum Golf Club and Bribie Island Golf Club called ‘Bay Golf’. This concept is in the final stages of organization but a brief overview of the concept is as follows:
·         Each financial golf member of these clubs will receive a ‘Bay Golf’ card at no charge.
·         This will enable you to participate in nominated events/days at each of these clubs by paying the competition fee only (Full reciprocal rights). Simply produce your card.
·         These events will be spread throughout each month
I have a meeting with the managers of these clubs next week to finalise the days and conditions associated with the card and then as soon as they are printed, will be mailed out to our members.
I would like to thank the members who put a massive effort into making the US Masters Calcutta event on Saturday, 9 April 2011 a huge success. Following this great success, we have decided to run another Calcutta event for the British Open so keep an eye out for the information regarding this event.
I would also like to thank the staff at the Redland Bay Golf Club for their efforts in March 2011. This was a massive month in which we delivered 5 weddings, 3 conferences, 3 lunch events, 1 party, 2 corporate golf days and a Black Marker Challenge event along with our regular golf events. Thank you for your support this year as there have been events that have impacted on you all but I do believe you all have acted very professionally with all that was happening in the club. Hopefully, now we can get back to business!
