Redland Bay Golf Club President's Blog

Welcome to all members and non members who have started to follow the Club's activities on Facebook or Twitter. This is the way of the future and brings the communications of the Club into the 21st century, to the younger set. It is yet another avenue for the Club to keep all  informed of what is happening at the Club both for golfing and social activities.

Although we have suffered from the continuous rain prior to Christmas, which affected us both financially and reduced our Clubhouse activity, the Club has bounced back with renewed enthusiasm for golf and, if you read the previous blogs, a lot more activity socially around and within the Clubhouse. If you have not been here recently, come down and enjoy fine food, entertainment as advertised, and take in the cordial environment with great views of the golf course.

Members are reminded that the Special General Meeting being held on Tuesday, 5 April is an opportunity to hear how the Club is successfully turning around financially from what has been a lean first six months financially ( because of rain)  and what the Board and Management is doing to promote the Club to all  members, their guests and visitors.

  1. Used golf clubs are a great option for all golfers on a budget and golfers who do not play much. Used clubs are a good buy, not only for their relatively inexpensive price, but their quality as well. Unlike the general perception, are not of inferior quality. You must also ensure that the handles are good.
