The Annual Queensland PGA Awards were held on Tuesday night at the Sebel Hotel in Brisbane where the Qld golf body recognises excellence across this industry. For the second time in 3 years, the Redland Bay Golf Club was awarded the prestigious award of Queensland PGA Metropolitan Golf Club of the Year for 2010. Redland Bay was chosen from a large number of clubs across Qld and was judged on the following:
- Financial performance in 2010 (Up to and including December 2010)
- Competition numbers across all areas
- Club house operation and performance
- Activities offered to members and guests to the club
- Mystery shopping results based on service provided to members and guests
- Function activity
- Membership retention
This award is really a REDLAND BAY MEMBERS AWARD as without the continual support of our members, even in this worldwide financial downturn, this club would not be in the strong position that it is currently in. The club and members were also recognised for the wonderful support that it has given to flood affected clubs in our district.
