The Redland Bay Golf Club's bistro is releasing the new spring menu tonight. The chefs have done a fantastic job in providing different options on this menu including gluten free and vegetarian meals to cater for all of our members and guests.
We would like to give you a sneak peak at one of the meals on offer:
SWEET & SOUR PORK
Description: Crunchy pork pieces served with a home made sweet and sour sauce and served on a bed of rice with a fresh garden salad.
How do the chefs do it? The special home made sweet and sour pork sauce is made up of diced red onions, red capsicum, zucchini, carrot, which is all fried in a shallow pan with fresh garlic and ginger. Added to this mix is white vinegar, tomato paste, caster sugar, splash of soy sauce, pineapple ring pieces and juice and a splash of chicken stock. This is then bought to a boil and reduced to end up with a sensational sweet & sour sauce to top the pork and rice. The pork loin is then cut into cubes, dusted with a seasoned cornflour to give a golden brown finish. Then flash fried for 2-3 minutes. The pork is then added to the top of the steamed rice and topped with the sweet & sour sauce. The fresh garden salad is then added featuring tomato, red onion, red cabbage and mesclun lettuce.
PRICE: $24.90 (RBGC members) $27.90 (Non members)

Congratulations to the Redlands Sporting Club
Rick Veale and the team from the Redlands sporting Club need to be congratulated for once again hosting a great fund raising golf day at RBGC. They had a massive field of players and an impressive array of prizes from their sponsors. RSC raised an impressive amount of funds from the day that will be donated to 4 local charities including the Redlands Hospital.

The gift of golf!
1. When it was developed,
it was constructed so that families could use it to spend quality time
together. In today’s world, this is
something parents are searching for.
2. It was designed to
help anyone who suffers from social isolation because it requires you to
continually meet and spend time with new friends.
3. It even has the
capability of giving you special status in your community. If you use the gift well, you may even
gain the admiration from your peers.
4. If you choose to use it
often, you will live an active lifestyle and experience nature at its very
best.
5. It does require some
physical effort, staying fit is usually the result, and guess what – you can do
it at any age.
6. For those of you who
like to feel the thrill of competition, it delivers continual opportunities,
despite your ability level.
7. What’s truly amazing
is that nearly everyone likes it and would like to have one. It turns out that it effects everyone in a
positive way.
8. It provides an amazing
vehicle for parent’s coaches and children.
It can be used to teach decision making skills, goals setting, self
discipline, and the composure needed to recover when things go wrong.
9. Its unique
characteristics will even instill character qualities like - Honesty,
Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance,
Courtesy, and Judgment. Yes, it actually
creates a more peaceful and healthier culture.
10. For the community, here are some special benefits.
- The more gifts given away, the more Job Security we all have.
- Creates more career opportunities
- And the chance of greater compensation
